We dont have any install pictures, or sound clips unfortunately. I am sure we will at some point just haven't had time lately.

For the longbed trucks it should just be the connection pipes in the middle that need to be extended.

Question, did you guys used the metal gaskets and bolts that SE sells with these headers or some alternative.
I was told by a couple buddies that the stock bolts are recommended, but whhat about gaskets?

 

Just so I am clear. If I want to do a whole exhaust (headers through tailpipe) I only need the headers ($279) and true duel rear exit ($495). The Y pipe comes in the true duels kit?

I just went through this use oe gaskets not felpro or the aluminum foil that comes with the kit. Also if you are not going to use header collector ball flange highly recommended,(Flowmaster 15930: Header Collector Ball Flange Kit 3" Collector to 3" Tubing | JEGS) then use lap band clamps. Get black hi temp sensor safe rtv and seal the hell out of every connection especially before 02 sensors. I also would encourage you to relocate the 02 sensor bungs if you can. I am not sure if speed engineering relocated them, my driver side points up at the cab(nearly hits) and my passenger side points towards the frame. Also get ARP header bolts. Save yourself the headaches follow my advise. Also be prepared to get a tune, I lost a lot of low end torque. I just took my truck to EFI Alchemy Saturday and got tuned and schooled. I don't have any audible exhaust leaks but I have minor leaks which change the air fuel ratio. The tune helped, I have gotten used to the louder exhaust I guess does not seem as loud as it was.

It has a X pipe, not a Y pipe. The Y pipe by design is two pipes in and one out, however, the X pipe is two pipes coming together in a larger cross sectional area and out as two pipes.

Two 3" pipes into a single 6" pipe out as two 3" pipes.

I welded V-bands on my headers, works great and was an inexpensive option.

 

I received my true dual kit with rear exits yesterday for my 05 extended cab and installed it last night. The install and fit went great. The only issue I had was my front driveshaft is close (not touching though) to the crossover pipe. I'm sure that issue would be resolved with new motor mounts. I was very pleased with the kit and will try to get some sound clips up later today for those of you interested. It's quieter than I expected which was good for me.
