Default Spark Plug Change

Some quick observations...
I could imagine if I were trying to re-use the wires, it would've been much tougher. It takes some force to get those bastards out. Because i replaced the wires, a pair of pliers made it a snap.
The number 1 plug was a PITA because it seems like the trucks entire electrical system is in front of it. BTW, what's the sensor on the head near that plug?
I was able to do all the plugs from the top. A swiveling ratchet and extension really helped...but the #8 required an offset wrench on the spark plug socket, and I could only do about 1/8th of a turn each pass. Definitely a slow process but nothing really tough. One of those ratcheting box-end wrenches wouldve come in handy.

I have a special tool that clips into the groove in the factory heat shields. It's about 18" long and pops them off much easier than pulling on the wires.

Compared to some of the vehicles that I've changed plugs on, I'll change plugs on these trucks all day long, they're really a piece of cake IMO. A short wobble extension makes #8 a snap
