Default Source for new 317's?

I have a used set of 317's I was planning to spruce up but after pulling them about, I might be better off just picking a new set. Either the LQ4 or LQ9 versions, 12562317 or 12572035's. I've done some searching on the usual GM parts sites but no luck. Any ideas on where to pick up a new set?

I'll have to give Richard a call at WCCH this am and see if he can put something together for me.

I probably will go the WCCH route but I was just looking at my options. I had a few stuck valves on the used set I picked up a while back. Once you start replacing a valve or two or three, maybe have to replace the guide(s), new seals, valve job, surfacing it starts getting close to what I would imagine a new OEM set costs.

I picked up some used 317's off of ebay a few years back, they looked to be low mileage and I believe that they were probably pulled off of an engine that was replaced under warranty or something like that. IIRC they were less than $300. I sent those heads to WCCH and Richard turned them into StageII 317's I'd give Richard a call and see what he can do for you, I'm sure that he can take your current heads and work for all their worth

Too slammed at work yesterday to call Richard. I'll have to break away for a few minutes this afternoon and talk to him.

I'll look into the price of his CNC porting but I'm not that sold on running ported heads with turbos. Not a lot of return on investment considering you can just add another lb of boost to pick up the HP difference between a ported and non-ported set (at my power level). I saw Rick at Synergy break 730 RWHP with these same turbos on a 5.3l with stock 317's and a 4L80E (although he was running a 220/220+/- duration cam vs my 212/218).
