I like the sleeper effect. I always get people asking if I have a old Xtreme, I just smile and nod my head. After I beat someone and they ask me what i've done to it, I can say nothing, you just got beat by a V6. My replacement for displacement is measured in PSI. But no one knows that.

how the hell do you hide the syclone part without removing the cladding and putting on standard wheels? when i had my sonoma gt i had alot of people assume it was a syclone. very few car people i've met haven't heard of the syclone. hell, even dumb 16 year old kids have.

How fast do those run stock ... I've been wondering for a while but haven't wondered enough to look it up.

Default Why make anything fast?

Its the most fun when you make something thats not expected to be fast..fast! Plus, its easier to make a truck fast because of the engine displacement. With a truck you can pickup plywood, tow pretty much anything and still drive comfortably. As for making something different fast, My Chevy W3500 (Isuzu cabover) moves pretty good with the 6.0L gas. I added a sidemount magnuson supercharger with Westers tuning. The trans is the bulletproof 4L80E. Its only putting out 3.5 lbs boost but it still goes 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. Talk about a sleeper! I weighed it at a certified weigh station and its over 6000lbs empty. The supercharger is pretty loud and a little undersized for a 6 liter, so I plan go to Turbo with 6 lbs boost.

i have a pile of videos that show exactly why i did it. tons of fun whoopin ***.

oh yeah, a few other reasons. cheap to buy, easy to work on, comfortable to drive, sturdy from the factory, cops dont even look at you, insurance is cheaper.

So that you can have some guy come up to the track and tell you that he lost $100 because he bet on the Mustang GT that you just raced!!!!

Stock Syclones pull around 13.5's (97MPH), with a 1.8 0-60ft. Our 0-60 times are about 4.8 sec. I get 2 reactions around here, either they know the Syclone and won't play with me, or have no idea what it is so they ignore me. Syclone's get a little recognition here, but with my Typhoon, no one knows what they are. They're just a 13 yr. old Sonoma with some extra cladding, but it even says Syclone on the side (for now). We just have so many Xtreme's driving around that they think of nothing of the Sy, like i just stole their cladding.
