here is a screen shot of the loging tool. this is 2nd gear with locked converter from a 20mph roll. this is one of the last runs we made, when we started the a/f was all over the place.

Nice not too bad for logging I guess. Could be worse. I think its worth a try just because its nice to not be flying so blind when in boost and run out of MAF like the stock PCM. I am also tossin the idea of two MAF's to keep from maxing out, which I think would be the ultimate. I don't know if I can do this in HPtuners w/o having the pro version though.

Come to think of it I am post whoring it up right now, maybe I should setle down for a while.lol.

I really want to figure out that twin MAF idea though. I think that would be the $hit .

I am not talking about running erands and daily stuff, I am talking about truck for different forums of racing and events. Like g-machine cars, cars that go autocrossing, drag racing, road racing, street racing.
Just that truck instead goes to Mud runs, drag racing, Truck pulling, pull offs, tug of war, hill climibing, street racing. Besides when Tierod goes truck pulling next year you should enter along with him just, run in 5500lbs class, I think that would be funny to see the sled put the smackdown on your truck. See your truck moving side to side and watch that 10 bolt snap in a million pieces would be funny.
See Dmax guys have couple steps ahead of us, Last week heard of the first Dmax to go 11.5 in 1/4, plus turn off nitrous bottle and go truck pulling.

yah I know But the ulimate goal should be a truck that can do all these thing that I mention, except road race, save the g-machine for that. Also I can demud my truck in the same time it takes to wax it. It call a high powered pressure washer, works wonders.

BlownChevy is talking about making 500rwhp with a RADIX, not a T76 turbo. The T76 can EASILY feed the CFM needed to make that kind of power. Can the Radix do it on a 5.3L?

Besides, I either made over 500rwhp on my 5.3L or a **** ton of TQ to be able to trap what I did at my lardass weight ON A BADLY SLIPPIN TRANS. LOL

8100hammer, I'm not even going to comment on your assinine posts. LOL

I dont see what the problem is with Parish asking for donations to get some dyno time to find the limits of the 4.8. Im sure many would like to know how much power it will stand up to. He is supplying the 4.8 and willing to kill it in the process.
8100, you are definately in the minority here, but you're entitled to your own preferences. I, for one, would have absolutely no interest in anything like that.
Back to the topic at hand. Go for it Parish

What a to have a truck that clicks off low 11's high10's, throw the tailgate back on, go handle some fords and dodges in a truck pulls. Then on a fun weekend, go play in the mud hence what really what 4wd drive is for. If thats the minority, maybe the truck world isn't all that its cracked up to be.

Thanks for the opening my eyes

This will be intresting. Thank you Parish! I'm hoping to see where the hp starts falling off in relation to boost or does that even happen w/ a turbo? Have at it man and thanks again.

Damn, I think I got some mud on me.

i think it's great to have a truck that can do everything, but it's all at a cost. if you want a vehicle to go street racing with and cruise around in, his truck fits the bill quite nicely. a duramax truck however would do it, but not quite as well. with his being so lightweight, it's going to come out harder without having to build the boost which is important since many street races are off idle. a duramax is a complete dog until the boost comes on as far as that goes. using a duramax for a street racer also increases the cost issue by quite a bit. not only is the truck consderably more expensive, but everything you buy for it is going to be also, especially if something breaks. i'd like to see a duramax make anywhere near the hp and torque he made at only 16psi of boost... as for street racing with an 8100, it maybe be cool and sound damn nice, but driving any distance to race is just a fuel card away i guess. it's all about the purpose you bought the vehicle for. if street fun is what it's about, why spend the extra just to street race with a truck that big?

as for the money thing, i think it's cool that he's willing to get us some dyno numbers just for the hell of it. it's not like the 4.8 is going to impress him that much after having the 6.0. i simply want to know what the little temperary use only 4.8 will do.
