So Truck

I have a 99 Silverado with headers, exhausted and intake. It's a dog off the line until 2200-2500 it will start to pick up. What can I do to get rid of it, I now a stall will help but what other things can I do? I'm also getting a Nelson tune in about a week and cutting my cats because they are filled with crap. Will that help me at all?

gears will help out a good bit, although a stall around 3k would make a huge difference, honestly its the most noticable mod i've done on my truck and others will agree. I mean it goes from feeling like a dog on the low end to feeling like a dog on the top end! which means its time for a cam, which is in the future plans.

i dont know about the pi or tci, but i loved my yanktt3000, has a good str and woke my truck up at lower engine speeds, only downfall is the price and customer service. i know youre looking for other options but i think this would be the best for it. if your cats are plugged it would run like ****, no power bad fuel economy, possible check engine light,. nelson tune will help out and if he delets tq management you will feel a difference.

My Yank TT3000 works great! The price is a bit higher, but I believe you get what you pay for. As far as customer service goes, I never really needed any customer service, as I bought mine from Tbryne and I never had any problems. I've also heard that they are under new management and customer service has greatly improved since they were have their issues before. I think dollar for dollar the converter is the best mod out there. You can spend $350 to $400 on a cat-back, and another $250 or so on a cold air intake, and still not have the same performance gain as with the converter.
