Just because you mill the heads doesn't mean that you will need different size pushrods, it really depends on the base circle of the cam.
I wouldnt do it if you dont plan on swapping cams in the future.

i told him that i wanted to put a shift kit in and have him lower the pressure back to stock, he laughed and said oh and what do u think the shift kit does any better? he also said something about when i add the lts ory that it will gain me 8whp but after he tunes it it will be like 30whp increase..i asked him to take out a lil more tm.. he says it does nothing for performance. except blow ur tranny..
what do u guys think about that?

IMO leave the TM alone. Have him only remove 60-80% total. In order run a shift kit the pressures HAVE to be returned to stock, and if you set up the shift kit right, you will have crisper quicker shifts. Ummm I call BS on the LT thing too. Honestly there is much to reprogram for the LT's, some tweaks here and there but it wont make a 22HP difference LOL whos knows mabye Im an idiot.

retune i will ask for more tm removed and less line pressure.
he said that shift kits will hurt the tranny more than his increase in line pressure.
so shift kits increase line pressure and servos do also right?

maybe if it was neck snapping shifts then you could be doing more damage but otherwise a shift kit should be on everybody's mod list imo.

In the application we are talking about here, which is a basically stock 5.3, it would make very little difference. Lets just say you went from 9.5 to 11:1, then from research done many times and easily found on the net you would gain approximately 5%, which would be maybe 15hp. Obviously you can't gain a point and a half compression just from milling the heads without running into other problems.
