Or put a 5.3 or 6.0 on the 87. My dad has a 5.3 with trans and everything on his 82 and the swap isn't that bad, but we didn't do it, we could have done our selfs but we didn't want to. My dad paid like $2,000 get everything done with engine, trans, and wiring. When we got the truck back it was running and everything working.
