Anybody got any tips for pulling the stock Y-pipe off? or do I have to drop the cross member?

Yea, gotta pull the crossmember. Take all but one bolt off the driver side out and just let it hang there. The trans will just hang off the engine so you dont have to support it.

Anybody got any tips for a install of pacesetter long tubes on a standard cab short bed 2004 4.8 ? Any tips or tricks would be sweet.

Driver side is very easy, just falls right in from the top with the steering shaft out of the way.

Passenger side is a bitch and ive found the easiest way is to raise the front as high as possible and come in from the bottom.

Are you doing the converter now too? If so install converter before headers, then headers once tranny is back on.

Yeah get someone else to do it. Hubby & friends took care of mine. I like playing the "girl card".
