Default smoking question

my truck has had random smoking before which i havnt been able to figure out, and this is the second time that it has randomly SMOKED when i started it....i started it today for the first time since tuesday and it idled hard and kept wanting to die, which i know is typical of cams in the cold, but it blew out a ton of black white smoke (white smoke wasnt the typical condensation smoke), and so i turned it off and started it up again and the smoke was gone. this has happened once before before i did the cam and header swap, so its not related to that...WTH is going on?? i dont understand it at all....

Blow by? Im sure with this nasty cold that blow by on our motors is something we will just have to deal with due to the cold shrinking and condensing the metal parts...??

could just be soot blowing out the tailpipe. does it do it for a while or just that initial VROOM! on start-up? my old firehawk would do that as well, never concerned me though
