Default Slow Takeoff From Dead Stop??

It Seems To Me Like My Truck Is Holding Back Or Something.lets Say Im Sittin At The Red Light And I Punch It, Its Almost Like Its Missing, It Just Kinda Stalls For Like 1/2 A Second Then Goes. Im Thinking Maybee Its False Knock , Doing This, I Mean Its Kinda Always Done It. But Like I Aid Its Oly From A Dead Stop, If Im Rollin And Hit It Its Ok. I Just Instaleed A Tb Converter , I Figured It Would Help But Its The Same.do Yall Think It Could Be My False Knock Causing The Problem, Maybee Leaning My Motor Out , When It Is At A Load, And Reducing The Power. I Mean I Cant Even Power Brake It! I Have Heard On Here That The 99' Model Trucks Have A Problem With Bad False Knock Problems. Im Hoping That Is The Problem.the Only Other Mods I Have Done To My Engine Are A Volant Cia, And A Descreened Maf, And I Gutted My Cats, And Because Of Guttin My Cats My Ses Light Stays On. I Already Have Some Injectors Off An 03 , So I Guess I Might Need An 02 Pcm And To Get It Tuned? I Was Gonna Go With Wat4me Because You Get The 02 Pcm With The Tuning For A Good Price.and Maybee Leave My Tune Open And Let White1 Play With It? Oh And I Have The 5.3ltr , Thank You.

If you want me to work on the tune, make sure you give Jesse a 2000 VIN number for it.

also with gutted cats and the code not being turned on you are getting bad readings altering the fueling numbers, not to mention that fact that you added larger injectors without tuning for that either... basically I'm suprised that these are the only problems you are having

Just be careful about using a 2000 vin on a 99 truck. When its time for your inspection and they dont match you will get fucked.

ok, that makes more sense....

Like Brad said, we can make your truck "legal" (according to the OBDII scan), but if they log the VIN from the computer scan it won't match if you have a '00 VIN in your '99 truck... which could suck in the case of an audit, just something to think about

if you want, white1 or I can take a ride with you and get a log of what your truck is doing, just let us know

Could you not just tell them you replaced the motor in the truck. They surly wont look at then vin on the block to check it out or you could just say the pcm got fried by water or somthing. I know nothing about emissions as KS dont have them but just a few thoughts i had.
