Default Slotted / dimpled rotors with street pads now available

I was looking for some inexpensive alternatives to OEM rotors for a friend and came across these at QTP:
EBC Slotted & dimpled (not cross-drilled)

EBC Street Pads

Check with: Quick Time Performance

Barry @ QTP now has 99+ 1/2 ton 2wd truck or 00+ 1/2 ton 2wd Suburban and Tahoe EBC slotted / dimpled rotors and EBC "green" street pads. These rotor as less expensive then OEM replacements and as little as 5-20 bucks more than most aftermarket OEM superceeded spec rotors. At $99 these are a good buy. The pads are priced at $79 & $89 front and rear respectively.

I am assuming people are only changing out the front rotors and just getting better pads for the rear since I have yet to see an aftermarket rotor for the rear. I guess it has something to do with the funky e-brake on them.

I do like those EBCs though. They are a little nicer than the regular slotted rotors I have seen. The add didn't say if they were zinc washed though. That would be a plus.

I've talked to Barry @ QTP and have asked that he voice to EBC that there is a demand for rears and that the market is definately growing. I haope he can feed back soon and let us know WHEN we can get tham and not IF we can.

BTW - The rotor design is not that unique. My 95 Impala SS was PowerSlot equiped on all four corners and the F-bodies share this design too.

that would definatly be a good choice for replacements when your factory brakes die. too bad you cant see the bling bling rotors through the factory wheels though lol
