Default single or dauls????

On a 4.8 with lt's, cutouts and using cats( for emissions purposes), which system is better single 3" or 3.5" .... or a 2.25'' or 2.5" daul H or Xpipe for all around performance and real aggressive sound? Currently running shorties with custom H with a pair of single chamber race flows by flowmaster daul side exit.

A single 3" will do, a 3" area is just a little smaller than dual 2.25"

a 4.8? A single 3" is all you'll ever need, headers or not. When you go FI, then duals might be nice.

if it's a pretty stock 4.8, then the stock diameter pipe for single exaust is fine.

Duals will probably be more loud than a single just depends on what muffler you are running. But i have a single gibson cat-back on my truck and I really like it. I have heard that single exhaust systems usually make more tq than a dual set up. Especially low end. I would think that would be ideal for the 4.8.

These guys speak the truth! If you're moving from shorties and dual flowmasters to LTs and a single 3" exhaust, I think you're going to be really happy with the low-end you pick up. I have a single 3" in/out high-flow Magnaflow that I think works well with the Dynatech SuperMaxx setup.
