Default sick of my taylors..

i have the 409 Race taylor wires on my truck and have always seemed to long..

i have the ACCEL fiberglass boot covers and about a month of so ago i was changing the plugs and noticed the headers have burnt through a couple of the sleeves and started doing some damage to the plugs ( no misfires yet)

but anyway i ordered some MSD for it and im getting them next week hoping i might be able to avoid the header better...

any stories from anyone on here?

i have pacesetter Lt's

I've had the MSD's on my truck for a few years and they've held up great with both my old shorties and now my StainlessWorks LT's. The wires fit perfectly also.

I have the 409 wires on my truck too. They are pretty damn long as well; the driver's side closest to the firewall could damn near be wrapped around the steering shaft. No problems though. I just wish they'd had another color besides blue when I got them.

I'm about to buy some MSD's for my truck. The #2 cylinder's plug wire got thoroughly fucked up after the LT install. Temporarily (going on a year now haha) I wrapped some fiberglass header wrap around the wire where it touches the header and it fixed the problem. Luckily I had an extra plug wire from the dune buggy project to fix it. Anyways from word of mouth the MSD's are well worth it, but I haven't had any personally experience with them on a LSX yet. I do run MSD's on all the other motors I've built/owned. Mike over at G-Force recommended the MSD's over the Taylor's.

I am running the red 409 10mm wires and have no issues with length or touching but i do have the shorties on there. I have been happy with them so far but I am gonna get some lt's soon.

Yep, got the MSD's too, and love them. I had to bend them over to center them and they work great.

That's one of the best things about my MSD wires. I have the early Dynatechs with The Hump but the angled boots make it easy to flex the wire away from the primaries. MSD FTW!
