How would you recommend coming out of the burnout w/o grabbing too hard? Just feather the brake? I used ET streets on my previous truck and it never seemed to grab to hard, just kind of screetch....but then again the Hoosiers will probably be stickier....
I would get the tires hot in the burnout, pull up to the line, roll into easy, and then get on it. It would very hard on the the entire drivetrain to do an all out launch at 3000 rpms. That would be freakin crazy though. Your shifts should be fine. I would rather put slicks on than put stocks on and risk some serious wheel hop down the track. Wheel hop is a real drivetrain killer and might put you on a tow truck sooner than a set of slicks. You need good traction for good times. 3/10 in the 60' is probably a 5-6/10's at the big end. I wanna see some 12's!
