Default Should I get the Summit UD pulley?

I am thinking about getting one of these. Does anyone have one? I have an ASP on the camaro but thought about trying the summit pulley since it is less expensive. Does anyone know how much it weighs? I hope it weighs less than the stock pulley. Any reason I shouldn't buy one?

Josh

Most of Summit parts are a name brand part with a Summit sticker or stamp. Like there air filters are K&N filers.

I am sure that Summit will do just fine.

Well I ordered one. I will let you all know how it works out. It will probably be a while before I put it on since I will most likely do a cam swap at the same time.

The Summit U/D Pulley is smaller but not much lighter (if any) than the stocker, since it is steel instead of aluminum. But, it appears to be a good quality piece. I installed one on a friends 99 Vette about a year ago and it's still in one piece, which is better than some I've seen in the past - like the Whisper lightweight Aluminum which came apart on my old '98 camaro. I replaced that with a ASP and I have to say that the ASP to me is the best and probably the most popular one out there. The weight shouldn't be a problem, as it's the decreased drag from underdriving the accessories that gives you the HP gain, and I think a harmonic damper (which this is) needs to have a bit of weight to work properly, IMO. For an all out/race build, the ATI would be the best.

I couldn't find one on Summit's website for our trucks. Anyone care to throw out a part number or link?
