At the same time, Ive done cam/spring swaps anywhere from 3.5 hours start to finish to 8 hrs, so it just depends. I could see (if you were BSing a lot, or had removal problems) it taking 8 hours for headers and Y
I guess if you put it that way... I normally like to get the **** done and then drink beer and listen to it idle...

On a stock tune at the tires on a Dynojet

Stainlessworks catback -- 7.7hp/6.8 ft lbs.
Stainlessworks LT's w/cats -- 9.8hp and 10.3 ft lbs

Not huge gains, but they were across the curve and the truck sounds wicked.

The Nelson tunue on top of these mods was good for another 15hp and 15ft lbs.

Am I thinking right here that after putting on a $800 catback, that long tube headers are my best way to acheive this? Sorry for the Noob questions!
You don't need LT's to hear that "rumble" you're talking about. It's the Corsa system that's just really quiet. For short money you can ditch the Corsa and run pipes straight back to bullets and that'll make it louder.

Most, if not all, of the trucks running LT's are doing cams, heads, or FI and will need the extra flow. It's too much time/money for "rumble".
