I was following this thread because I also just have line pressure upped without a shift kit. When I install the shift kit should I bring the line pressure down again as well back to stock? TIA

Yes, get all your line pressure tables back to OE.

without a doubt, a shift kit is a must.

i thought that plastic 1-2 accumulator piston looked a little shady. i knew i should have replaced it. all well... how will i know if it breaks?

no washers still give a nice firm 1-2 shift. i love the shift kit. it also down shifts a lot better and with less throttle.

I'd say labor around $250-400 for a shift kit install done correctly. I'm always scared of cheap labor usually equates to poor workmanship.

The TransGo will prolong the life of it by a good amount. The money it's going to take you to install it all...that could go toward an assembled off the shelf unit.

if you have a grinder, do it yourself. its not that hard. its kinda like legos. watch the video a few times - but follow the written instructions. the hardest part for me was taking the snap ring off.

hitman: have you heard/seen any broken plastic acc. pistons? im worried now.
