Default shift kit with shift firmness hpp3?

I just got my truck back from E.T. performance they installed my transgo shift kit with two spacers and the vette servo. My question is do I have to reprogram my hpp3 to remove shift firmness. Right now since I just pick it up it shifts HARD with a great second gear scratch. Will this harm my trany? According to the hpp3 when it ask if you have a aftermarket shift kit you are to answer YES and not get the firmness. So what do ya'll think should I reprogram?

When I installed my Trans-go the PC solenoid was disconnected. (preasure control) Check with your installer to see if the PC in still there. It won't matter what the HPP3 does if ts not hooked up.
