??schoenfeld lt header install on obs
#1
I have a question to ask those who have Schoenfeld LS1 truck headers on an OBS. I need to know how much clearance you have between the header and the firewall on both sides?
Reason being, I got both headers in place this weekend and found that the passenger side hits the firewall. Nothing wrong with the headers, I know why mine hits and others don't. When I made my motor mounts, I set the engine back as far as I could fit it. I plan to move the motor forward to properly accommodate the LTs. Purhaps what would be most helpful is this: Anyone with an OBS truck with the proper conversion mounts, can you measure the distance between the cylinder head and firewall? I will use this measurement when I slide my engine forward into the correct spot.
Thanks!
Scott

I checked out the ls1truck site and found some good information. I'm going to ditch my homemade mounts that I made with polyurethane spring eye bushings and replace them with factory rubber mounts combined with adapter plates recommended on that site. Should get me where I need to be.
Thanks for the suggestion!
