You are correct like tiburon said titanium retainers those will help. Dont bother with aftermarket rockers they arent worth it. The crank is good for about 7000 rpm rods are the main thing you have to worry about. If you really want to spin one that high then get an lq9 they have better rods and will handle the high rpm better.

I have mine set at 6500 now and thinking of going to 6600 or 6700 but I have a built motor.

I shifted my stock lq9 at 6800 with a 200 shot, I would not recomend that but 6200-6400 should be fine.

i have never bent a push rod and my motors have seen 7000 and 7400.
