Default s-10 with 5.3

hello all i am new here and i have a 89 s-10 with a 355 at the moment but i wanna swap it out for a 5.3 that u am picking up thursday. my question to you is what do you reccomend for my build? its a 60k mile motor and has all accessories. the truck weighs 2600lbs and will have a turbo 350 with a 3500 stall converter and a 4.11 with a spool in a 9 inch sitting on 28 inch drag radials. should i stick with the truck intake or go LS1 intake? i am getting the heads ported but should i just get the stock heads ported or get some 241's or 243's? it gonna have some nitrous on it and its just gonna be a toy that i can drive when i want too.

unless its got the flat top pistons the 243's (241's) will drop your CR and the stck heads breathe as well as the 241's IIRC. The LS6 intake is the one guys swap to.

Not exactly sure what you want to do with the truck.. but im putting a 4.8 in a S-10 here shortly.. my plans are alot of nitrous till i get a turbo and all those goodies.

your plans are just a Intake and heads? what about a cam?

just wondering..

i am planning AI heads and a AI custom grind but i might pick up a small cam for when i get mine together and i plan on a nice bit of nitrous as well, do you have a build thread? the truck has a forged 355 now.

let me know what yours weighs to get an idea. The reason I asked the weight because they are different body styles.Maybe there was a significant weight difference.
