Default Roll over motor safe to use

Do y'all think this craigslist motor would be safe for a swap its only got 67k on it but its been in a roll over and has a hole in one of the heads here's the link. 03 chevy silverado motor 5.3 ltr

Lol, holes don't just happen like that in a rollover. Not behind a cast iron exhaust manifold. That was damaged after it was removed. Pass..

I would think you could find a 5.3 in good working order for about that price... no?

LOL, didnt even think about that. i was looking at it thinking, WTF would be able to hit the block hard enough to knock a hole in it....didnt even consider the exhaust there too lol.

Yea plus it's been there for a month already.yea lkq has them for 225 on eBay the lkq in Houston maybe I should just drive to Houston and grab one of those

Its hard to tell but it looks like the header bolts are all snapped off, My guess is the exhaust manifold took that chunk with it in the crash.

I paid 600$ for a 5.3 120k miles, harness, pcm, complete and with accessories from a salvage yard. That is a unknown condition motor, 100-200$ is what I would pay for that craigslist one so that atleast parting it I could break even in a worst case scenario.
