Default rockers

I'm looking at a set of roller rockers by P.R.W. 1.8 3/8 studs and I wanted to know if they'll fit on a 5.3 05 avalanche?

stick with stockers!!!!!!!!!!! if they are good enough for the mighty LS7 they are good enought for your 5.3...think about it as that. a LS7 is hand assembled. they are nothing but a hassle and arent worth a dime IMHO

lyou could do heads if you wish to, chose wisely and just totally forget about roller rockers. now if you had a Gen I motor then yes get rollers but on a GenIII/IV no need for rollers IMHO and im sure others will back me up on this one
on my 408 and the other one i just built put stock rockers on both of those motors.

Stock rockers are fine. Now granted the needle bearings fall out of the stockers sometimes with age. Harland Sharp does some nice rebuild work on stock rockers.. Just an FYI.

I put SLP 1.85's on mine and while there was a nice gain in the upper RPM over the stock 1.7's, they aren't worth the price when new, especially if you're going to do a cam eventually anyway. I traded a Mopar 360 rebuildable core for mine, so I'm not really out much...

so if I was putting a cam 212/220 .558 lift I wouldn't need to upgrade the rockers?

Nope, stock rockers will be fine with that cam.
