my gasket kit was a tube of silicone on the 5 cams swaps that ive done and re-use the stock crank bolt on all 5 time and never had any problems

RTV is silicone sealant/gasket maker - available just about anywhere that has autoparts, hell, walmart may even sell the stuff

Not to get off topic, but since we've touched on RTV, FWIW, I prefer Toyota FIPG (Form In Place Gasket) to RTV...I've had great luck with it in the past. It's basically the same principle, just a different formula I guess. They make black for engine applications and orange for transmission/differential applications. For high temp apps I use the copper RTV though.

I use clear RTV. It works just as well and if you have fat fingers it doesn't show.
