Default reverse splits

How come us truck guys dont run reverse split cams?

with a decent set of long tube headers, no cats, and say a cut out, you will have an awesome flowing exhaust. We're still weak on the intake side though despite head flow numbers are larger on the intake (correct?). With the peoples choice award for a cam, the 212/218, your leaving the exhaust valves open longer when we should be leaving the intake valve open longer. It makes since to increase the intake side of the cam to keep the intake/exhaust flows balanced.

What i'm gettin at is that we should be running higher intake duration numbers rather than higher exhaust duration like comps 212/218. Of course this only applies if you are running a free flowing exhaust. If you have a power adder, a restrictive exhaust, or an ls6 intake manifold a regular split should be fine. am i wrong?

I've been reading all of the cam shaft discussions....if you can't tell

I think I'm going to test out a reverse sometime soon. I'll also be trying to get proper valve events.
