I was in the same boat. I bought mine off a member here and sent it to a porter that I learned about on LS1tech. It was $55. It just came in today.

Why didn't they work the air passage in the top left part? Mine was filled with JB weld and had the tunnels drilled and brass tubes inserted into it.

That's known as "expoxying" and they don't do it because it can end up blowing into your intake and it shows no gains either.

Also, massive FAIL on the TB swap. I had to go to NAPA to buy a 10mm socket so I just did the work out in their parking lot. Got the whole TB off and I couldn't figure out how to take off that little black thing holding the 2nd cable WTF? How does that black thing come off? Also, what is that second wire even for? Cruise control? BTW, I'm referring to the black piece that hooks onto that little **** on the left hand side of where the throttle cable goes.

ya thats the cruise control cable, and its a bitch to get off.

Mine actually isnt even hooked back up because evidently there is a difference in that ***** size between years of throttle bodies, because my plastic hole was too small to fit over the larger **** on my p&p'd one.
