Default Removing Stock Y-Pipe

Did you guys have to drop the transmission x-member or did you just wrestle the Y-pipe out? This in on a 4x4. I tried for about an hour to wrestle the y-pipe out and i couldn't get it out, then it got too dark to see anything so i'm leaving it until tomorrow.

If you did drop the crossmember, did you have to support the trans with a jack first? Thanks guys

I couldn't wrestle mine out either. A sawzall took care of it very quickly. You can drop the crossmember if you want but it would be wise to support the tranny...

Cool... thanks bro. As much as i'd love to cut it out, i have to save it to pass emissions laws in CA.

I didn't have to drop mine. 99 RCSB 4x4. I did have the push the cat-back portion of the exhaust towards the back of the truck to get more room.

You should be able to wrestle it out.
