Regular cab, short wheel base with a MAX!?!?!
#1
Check this out. Found it on another forum. The Regular Cab Short Box with a MAX! The only reason I think this is because it has 8 lug wheels and the www.bullydog.com sticker on the window. They are a high performance diesel shop. Could it be a shortened 2500HD? If this is true, this would be one BAD ****!!

I hope that thing is a real max... what would be crazy! I'd love to do a custom swap and put one in mine. Maybe when i am out of school and actually have money to spend on it lol. Anyone ever swapped a max into a 1/2 ton truck??

Dammit, they stole my idea.

What they probably did (and what I would of done), is bought a Cab & Chassis 2500HD truck and had the frame shortened to fit the shortbed on.

If they did actually do this they would have needed to change a lot of stuff out. It isn't hard to lower a 3/4 ton, but it is hard to put a heavy *** motor on a half ton frame and then lower it. There would be a lot of spring and suspension problems to deal with.

i think your right, there is no gap on the bumper or filler or whatever it is they do when the body is 2" higher. isn't that due to a taller frame meaning it would be imposiable to drop? if thats the case then it is a 1/2 ton with 2500 spindles and rear axle.
someone needs to do a max in a RCSB, it would have to be a full second faster then the HD's they have now just due to the weight. if the low 12sec had that much less weight they would be knocking on 10's

Um, there are lowering kits for the HD's & probably air suspensions too.
For the bumper, all they'd have to do is move it up a little higher, the same way you do it with a body lift.
Let's see, what else...
Shorten frame/driveshaft/fuel lines/brake lines, etc.
It actually looks like a fairly easy project, just need to have a competent frame welder that knows what the hell he is doing.

I thought 2500's all have their bodies a little higher off the frame, to clear the Allison trannies...
If that's the case, it looks like this thins is at least 'not' running an Allison. Maybe a T56?
The axles definitely look legit. The rears tuck in a little more than the front's do.
