Regency 4.8
#1
I searched so dont flame
.
I was at the local pontiac dealership today looking to get a dealer locate on trans am/camaros, when all of a sudden i see this truck with red racing strips, 20" rims and HUGE HGUE brakes. I was like what the hell is that. Me and my friend walk up to it to see its a Regency addition, I instantly noticed the shaved emblems everywhere, the only place this truck says what truck it is, is the steering wheel says GMC. Then the seats where leather with Regency on it, it was a 5 speed manual, custom gauges everything i was like whoa this is a reall nice 4.8. So i decided to pop the hood to see what else is done to this thing. I instantly see the K&N filter, we look and Nothing JBA Shorty Headers. I then got curious so the next thing i did was lay on my back and start looking under the car, and noticed the after market exhaust, and some Ground something shocks, and springs. I was like Holly $#%% this truck is amazing, so i was thinking it was gunna a huge sticker....
Well i look on the windshield to find out the sticker on the car was only $25,000....All thoughts about a Camaro/TA went out the window when i saw that thing, i checked the miles on the car only 113 miles on it. Its brand new. The dealer had no idea what kinda numbers it was putting down. They started the car for me and
WOW that has got to be one of the best sounding exhaust notes ever, i reved it up a little to here some pops and a nice deep burley sounding exhaust, i was in love.
So...
What kinda numbers are these things putting down?
Whats the stock 1/4 mile estimation?(im guessing mid 14's?)
And with a 25k sticker, im thinking i can get it lower.
Tell me what you think

Good price. I would doubt mid 14s stock but you never know.
Check out this pic....Notice anything similar!

Same wheels but 22s, and same brakes, and im the only non regency truck to have the caliper covers!

The thing about this truck was it was everything basicall you would want to do to a performance car...for free!! since they where charging 25k and the truck plane stickered at 23k. And a sport truck is definately different then an F-Body. I kinda want something different. I have never been in aww over a car like i was with this one. for some reason it was perfect(minus the racing stripes)
And a supercharger whine and heads/cam maybe switch to long tubes, would just set it off. Also probably lower it more. I dont need a 11 second car, a slow 13 second truck would definately be good enough for me

Hmm what about a possible t-56 swap
Put a 6 speed behind that monster while im at it
How much do 6.0 swaps run, because i was debating on swapping out for an ls1 if i bought it since they are dirt cheap

welll in that case....lswhat? bring on the 6 liter lol....Any performance branches sell the 6.0 with low compression pistons and stuff for a decent price? or would it be better to build it myself, becuase i know there are fully built short blocks on ls1's that are realitivaley cheap, and they come balanced and everything. What do you think about a t-56 swap also, to make it a 6 speed.
So possible moding plans
built 6.0 swap?
vortech or procharger s/c kit
t-56 tranny swap?
Dynamaxx Long tubes
Sell stock engine with a couple hundred miles on it...and stock tranny....
