Default Redoing My Exhaust! Input Needed!

I am looking at redoing my exhaust very soon. I love the way the truck sounds but I need something different.

Currently I am running Pacesetter long tubes and their early style cat/less y-pipe with a 3" duel 2.5" 40 series Flowmaster dumped in front of the ol' 10 bolt.

This is what I have in mind! Continue running the Pacesetters, but weld 3 bolt 3" flanges so the exhaust can be easily removed. Duel 3" stainless steel cutouts reduced to 2.5" duels to a Magnaflow 2.5" 'X' pipe. Then threw duel 2.5" mufflers and exiting out the side just in front of rear passenger side tire. Ends will be cut parallel with body to give that oval look. I am reducing the exhuast to 2.5" because duel 3" is way too big for my lil' 5.3L, right!

here is a quick rendering!:ninja:

Right side...to single in and dual out is pointless IMO

Honestly I would prefer the left side, but thats just me... IMO I would do 3in off the collecter into a 3.0 to 3.5 Y-pipe, the a 3.5 SI/SO or DO muffler.... That would be more than enough flow and cheaper... Oh and I would get some Vbands rather than flanges also just IMO...

The one on the right is cool, but you could use a 2.5 dual in 2.5 dual out muffler with built in X pipe to be cheaper and lighter. Magnaflow makes the 12468 if you want it kind of loud, or they also make a bigger one, which I am currently running, but I don't remember the part#. Just a suggestion to help you.

I have the setup on the left right now! I love the way my exhaust sound as it is, but if I get cut outs I want there to be a little less drown and noise because I can open those up at the track. The turn downs are giving me a headache too.

EDIT: Added a third option!

Maybe option 3!?

3" duel cutouts, 3" Magnaflow Y, 3" single in and out muffler, and a single 3" out in front of tire with same as body slash cut. Thinking a flowmaster delta 40 since they are quieter than my regular Flowmaster 40.

I don't want to turn this into a Magna/Flowmaster bash! I like Flowmaster! Sounds better IMO!

IMO option 3 would be your best bet. enough exhaust to let it breath and still good for some back pressure. I'm running that one but w stock manifolds, custom y-pipe and its a borla 3" in and dual 2.5" out dumped like your current setup.
