Rear disc rattle
#1
When riding on cement streets when ever I cross the expansoin joints in the street (ABOUT EVERY 20 FEET SPACING ) I hear my disc rattle.I know it is rear disc because applying the brakes ever so slightly rattle stops. Is there an easy fix other than replacing pads.By the way I only have 25000 miles and it's been doing it for a while now.

Crawl under there with a rubber hammer and start beating on stuff. Well maybe not too hard. See if you can get it to make the noise and then pin-point it. It shouldn't be a rotor. Maybe a shock or something to easy to find.

I know that the noise is coming from the disc brake pads themselves, never once thought anything as stupid as a loose rotor.I just wanted to know if NBS trucks have any bushings or sleeves that the disc brake pads slide on that could be worn or causing rattle.thanks for the suggestions.

If they are floating calipers, check the pins that hold the caliper to the anchor plate. They might be loose. A rattle can also be caused by excessive clearance between the rotor and the pads.
