acculmilator piston is always a something to think about replacing. the factory part is plastic and will crack over time. the gm part that replaces it is metal. i am not sure on the part number but your dealer should be able to get you one.

oh and you might need gaskets and fluid

Does the shift kit not come with the gaskets required to reassemble everything? I know i'll need fluid. Anyone recommend a particular fluid type or brand?

The kit should come with the sep plate gaskets and the pan to case one. Just run regular Dexron III/Mercon ATF.

Yeah, aluminum 1-2, 3-4 accumulator pistons are a wise upgrade while you're down there. Also the servo release check valve from Sonnax is a good idea. Perhaps an aluminum Fwd accumulator piston too.

Default Just Instaleld

I just got the Transgo+vette servo and cooler put in and updated Nelson tune(for shift kit and TM coompletely removed) and it feels real nice. I am actually suprised how it turned out and I only used one spacer in the 1-2 accum
and cant see using two although I will go back and do the overdrive servo so it will all feel uniformed. I only have 10 miles on the kit and the new tune so I can imagine it will be gettung a whole lot better once the PCM starts to elarn the shifts. What do you guys think about that will it get alot better??????? I only got 250 miles on my 1st tune and I ended up getting those parts so I hope it gets alot better as I assume it will!!

Yup, just drive around to get the best out of the tune. The PCM needs to learn the fuel trims mainly. Just do a lot of city driving in Stop+Go crap.

Thanks its weird because before I brought it to the shop it had like 18 miles on it and when I picked it up it felt really nice and when I got back to work I disconnected the battery again and drove it for about 10-12 miles and it was alot slower than it was before I disconnected the battery! LOL Iwished I hadnt messed with it even though I know it will get back that way sooner or later. These PCM are weird HUH???????????????
