Do you have long tube headers ?
any exhuast work done ?
that's why are tunes might be alittle differnt
i came across this wideband by haltech think it's any good ?halltech
Yea those are the ones(SDM 370) we both have. I have a stock exhaust manifolds, and a single 3 " bullet exhaust. His tune is different than mine though. Every one is different, that's why mailorder tunes suck mostly. My fuel press is like 50 at idle. So if your FP is 60 at idle your tune will be diff too. Every little change makes a difference. You just have to mess with it and log with Autotap until you can get a wideband done, and see where you are lean, rich, etc.
BTW the FJO, I think , is the same kind Parrich used. He sent me a log of a 5 min or so of his wideband log, and it is pretty cool, and shows exactly the a/f mixture. My only Q is, can you install the new wideband bung sensor in the stock 02 hole?? Sam

hey, someone talking about me? i did beat the hell out of that motor but i took as good of care as any one could have too. i changed the oil and filter with mobil one every 2000miles. didn't ever let it detonate. the intake ports were really clean.

swaping the whipple fueling out is prety easy and there will be little down time but the tuning part takes time, i believe there is alot of ET improvement there though. with those injectors i used the calculated flow value and punched it into ls1edit and it worked great, then added a little fuel in the PE part. then unhooked the whipple injectors, thats about it. once i got the fjo wideband set up i did alot of tuning to get the fueling just right, it is super easy to adjust with ls1edit and the fjo but does take some time.

i recomend the fjo set up to everyone but the price is high. if there is a cheaper set up out there it might be worth looking at. when you are ready to buy a wideband set up let me know and i can try and send you the software and a couple of log files so you can see how it works.

Parrish I have a Q. Does the wideband sensor bung just go right in the stock 02 location? Or do you have get a new hole cut for the wideband sensor? Thanks again for the files you sent me a while ago. Why did you get rid of your truck anyway? Sam

Sam I would Say go with another hole before the cat to get an accurate reading with the wideband
After the cat will give you inccorect readings
mufflers shop can weld the bung in for you usually they come with one in the kits that are offered out there
I'm waiting on the Aussie one because it will be a little cheaper than the rest and use a cheaper 02 sensor

xlr8nss put his in the back 02 hole and it seems to be working, you dont need your rear o2's but you do need your front 02's, i welded in an extra bung.

geting rid of the truck so i can build a fast one.

Yep, mine is in my driver side rear O2 bung. The sensor reads fine. I asked before and a few people said it would not read right. I asked about the tailpipe ones at the dyno and they said those were not accurate at all. Someone said that the sensor would not get hot enough behind the cat that far away but, my sensor comes up to temp in like 15-20 seconds and starts reading.

I talked with a guy who has an in-car wideband with the sensor in front of the cat and he said that the tailpipe sensor at the dyno read nearly identical to his wideband.

This is just my experience with a wideband in the rear O2 bung. It seems to work fine even though it's not "supposed" to. I may wire up the simulated narrowband output and put the sensor in place of the front O2 just to check and see what the difference(if any) is between the front and rear O2(since I have cats).
