Random misfire

Default Random misfire

i've been having random misfires and i cant seem to find out what the problem is. i've replaced the plugs twice and even put a new set of wires on. any one got any idea wat can be causing this?

Could be a lot of things...injector, something mechanical, clogged cats, low fuel pressure, false misfire from an aftermarket cam, etc. Is it actually misfiring or do you just have the code?

Use your scan tool. Go into Mode 6. This will show historical misfires. You can compare cylinders to each other to see which ones are worst. Most scan tools display Mode 6 data in hexidecimal so you will have to decode it yourself or use a scan tool that decodes it into decimal format such as Auto Enginuity. I use EScan Pro version and it puts Mode 6 data into something you can actually use.
