I have a buddy with a 2004 ls6 in his 2000 camaro, it should be the .550 lift cam.

He is getting a MS4 cam and wants to trade me labor for his yellow springs, .550 lift zo6 cam,and pushrods.

I was thinking this would be the perfect cam for my Truck.

Anyone here have this cam in their setup? I was thinking it would be a nice 15-20 hp gain with the power band raise a few hundred rpms higher.

I was planning on this cam, ls6 manifold, and UD pulley all at once, mainly want to break and run 13's everytime.

 

I stepped down from a 224/224 on 112 lsa Com Cam. I didn't gain back any gas mileage but lost quite a bit of power.

The only upside is that idle tuning was 10x easier than with the 224 cam.

Long story short, go with something bigger.

 

I hear ya man, but this cam and spring set will be free vs. a new $400 cam, $120 hardened pushrods, $280 spring set.

 

my 02 rcsb with an 01 ls6 cam, lt's, gibson cb, cai, tb verter and 4.10's ran 14.10 @ 97.5 my trans tune wasnt quite rite(bouncing off the limiter 1-2 shift) I ran 9.0's in the 1/8th.

I was still running the truck intake and clutch fan.. and only made 288/292 to the ground on 87. I averaged 18-22 mpg.

So with the right supporting mods you got a chance.
