Ram Air mod

NO such thing as too much. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Having the proper design is important as turbulance will effect high rpm performance.

Providing cooler air to the box is good but is seems that some have found that altering the box internally or removing the fenderwell horn actually hurt performance. I have found that high rpm flow must have some kind of "directed" air to produce the best flow / delivery volume. I did the filter/no-filter dyno test and chnged the runner tube length. I found which combo created the best DYNO HP and seemingly least restrictive flow.
Some have made some pretty extensive ram air systems on this board. I am working on a new design to eliminate sucking some of that heat soaked engine compartment air. I should have something to show when the new motor drops in.

I'm using it as well and got good results from doing it. I put my ac register over the fog light hole which gave my 4" aluminum tube a straight shot up to the bottom of the air box. It only cost me like $20 and some time. The worst part was cutting the hole through the steel plate under the stock air box.
