Default radix question

are the replacement injectors that come with the radix the small truck kind or did they swap them over to the bigger standard style?

if they are the small kind what is the minimum amount of space above the rail? looks like it might be the closest right under the TB. is there room to swap in the bigger injectors? probably need close to 1" of space. pic's of the space right under the TB would be awsume.

considering a radix set up with a fat shot of nitrous but i would need to be able to put in some big injecotrs for a dry shot or plumb it for a wet DP shot.

turbo/radix? turbo/radix? turbo/radix?...............................hmmmm

Is it just me, or did ripped 427 sway you away from a turbo setup? Or maybe that info is classified.

I don't really know if they are long or short they are Delphi 43lb. but there is plenty of room to fit a longer injector into the custom rails without interfering with anything.Call Magnacharger they will probably help you find the injectors you need and answer any questions you ask.805-289-0044

Its the Marine truck 8.1 injector. Same size and connector as all the other truck injectors.

I've got a couple ideas for the DP setup.

damn it richard, spill it. whats your ideas? is there room for the under injector nozle? how about just 8 shark nozles or however they used to do it? other options is some BIG injectors and an enormus dry kit, have to get around the maf max problem though. what were you thinking?

how much power in this combo? forged 408, 8.5-1, heads and cam, 100octane should be good for 12-15psi, 300shot DP with seperate fueling system and really good fuel.... hmm 900-1000rwhp? that should do it.

Take a look at the NX direct port nozzle system. ts pretty good, light years above the NOS brans kit. I think there is room for the DP under injector with the Radix fuel rail.

How do you plan on keeping 900-1000 HP in the chambers without blowing a head gasket? It seems like most BIG numbers engines with O-ringed heads and studs cant make that much HP.

i have to admit i dont really know. i need to do a little more research in that department. seems like there are guys making 700hp without all the good stuff and the guys with all the good stuff aren't really pushing it yet(that i know of). from what i am reading it is detonation that kills everything including head gaskets. i will work my way up slowly and stop if i cant avoid detonation and if it pukes out a head gasket i will fix it and back off a little. if there are guys making 700hp without orings and with at most some standard head studs then i have to ask how much can a fat studed double oringed set up make? i am keeping my beater truck , might just need it after i blow the thing up.

I've got grooves for the O-Ring cut in the head and a reciever in the block with copper head gaskets. It's better but not a cure all. It kinda took the fun out of it, as it was apart more than it was together.

Vented the cooling system 3 seperate times on a C5R block with the heads TQ'ed to big #'s on my vette. 300 Direct port shot..

I did have a few high 9's and low 10's at 80-90mph when she blew though..
