Default RADIX Fuel Injectors

Well it's time to step it up a bit.

I know the RADIX uses the 43# GM 8.1L Marine injectors (shories I beleive).

I'm going to the HPTuners 2Bar set up, some more exhaust mods and going to pulley down to my modified 2.9.

I'm allready have my INJ Duty Cycle going to 100% on these cold mornings
trying to maintain a 12.0 AFR.

Has anybody found a Larger injector that plugs in to the stock harness?

If not what is everybody doing to get bigger injectors to fit the RADIX.

Any Help is very appreciated.

Louis

a few have gone to the SVO injectors using spacers and new injector pigtails.

Is your fuel pressure holding steady from idle to 100% duty cycle on the injectors? The Radix kit injectors are only 42s if your pressure stays at 60 psi. Larger injectors won't help if you can't supply enough fuel to them.

and they aren't big enough on an 04' and newer radix truck that's running smaller than a 3.0" pulley. this is why the SVO injectors have worked well. they are 42lb hr also, but rated at 43.5psi of fuel pressure. running at the 60psi that the gen III's run they are about 49.7lb hr. if you have a returnless system truck and only run the 42's, you're not modding it very far without running lean on boost.

You are correct, the industry standard test pressurte for fuel injectors is 43.5 psi or 3 BAR of pressure.

I agree with this. Even though I run a Vortech, they also supply the 8.1L Marine injectors. I fought lean up top and 115-120% duty cycles. Installed Walbro GSS341 and bought 60# siemens. Adding head/cam next week along with the injectors and headers. Will retune on the Dyno and then do some more loging with HP Tuners to see if this condition goes away.....
