I have been thinking about a radix myself, I have a truck similiar to yours only I have a regular cab with and LS1. I don't know whether to get a setup for a car or truck because of the LS1. I orginally had 3.42's with my T56 the went to 4.11's and have had the 4.56's in for over 6 months and like them but with the torque you are making I would think traction would be a problem. I also have 275-45-20's which are 29.7" tall. My truck made 339.14 RWHP, stock LS1 with 02 Z06 cam and the usual bolt on's and Nelson tune. I would like to pick up another 100 RWHP but would hope I didn't have to run as much boost as you. I may pick your brain some when I get closer to getting my blower.

Get one for the truck, pretty much everything for a truck will work on the ls1, but everything for an fbody will nto work on a truck (intercooler piping etc...) A radix would work very well on that truck.

I have an oportunity to trade my 5.3 for an ls1 for free, but i'm not sure if I should take it. Going from an iron block to aluminum is kinda scary... what do you guys thing?

BTW pick away at the brain, I ask you a few questions when I was doing the 6 speed swap, so I owe you one...

If you bolt on the truck Radix kit you will make some nice HP on the LS1 motor. When and if I ever land a cheap 99 RCSB, I plan on using an LS1 block stroked out to a 402. The LS1 is a nice block, dont be scared of the Aluminum block, some of the newer trucks have a high compression 5.3 in it that is all aluminum.

I think that would be a fairly conservative number, you might even gain more. We recently did an 04 C5. Stock I think it did 295hp. Then we did an I/C magnacharger, 3.1 pulley and alcy injection @ 8psi and it made 443hp 464rwtq. Then with a lingenfelter GT10 cam it made 487rwhp and 480rwtq. Keep in mind this was all through an automatic and a very street friendly tune. Because you have a 6sp it will suffer a little less drivetrain loss, 500rwhp should pretty accesible to you.

I don't know if your clutch release works the way you like but I am not satisfied with mine, I want the peddle to release and engage closer to the top so I finaly located a C5 clutch master cylinder and should have it tomorrow. I will see what mods it takes to use on our trucks, if it doesn't take much I will get me a Mcleod unit and modify it. Mcleod doesn't make one for our trucks.
