Default radio noise w/ new plug wires

i posted a thread like this a few weeks ago. someone mentioned to use alot of dielectric grease. so i did. and it is still there. if i start playing around with my 4 gauge wires that are hooked up near the amp and capacitor, i sometimes can get them in a position where the whining stops. what if i insulated the 4 gauge power wire that is in the engine bay? would that stop the noise?

the grease will do nothing except make your boots not stick and hlep keep out moisture. are you using resistor or non resistor plugs? how would you RF insulate your power wire anyway? you would have to put some sort of braided shield around it to do what you are wanting then ground it. check your plugs!

I think the question here is if you have solid core or spiral core wires. With solid core wires, I have always had radio interference (on other vehicles). Check out to see what wires you have and if they are solid core wires you may have a hard time getting rid of the noise. I like the factory GM wires for my truck.
