Default Radiator shot

Well, my radiator is shot. I finaly found evidence of the leak today. I've been smelling it for a while. How much will a new one run and has anyone just repaired theirs? check out a 6.0 radiator. it has the built in oil cooler and is about 4" longer. it'll cost you though. i can't find my receipt but i think i picked mine up for about $325 new. what's leaking anyway? oh yea, i happen to have an extra one from my 4.8 that has about 28K mi. on it if you are interested. it will just collect dust here.

Fast 4.8,
I just replaced my radiator with a 6.0L for the electric fans and now I really have no use for my original radiator. I was going to keep it in case the new one gives me problems but since you need one I'm willing to sell mine. Let me know if your interested.

Thanks guys,
I'm gonna pull it tonight and see if it is cost effective to repair it. If it is not, I may try to find one for a 6.0. I like the idea that it has an oil cooler (good idea Texas Terminator). But if I can't find one, I may be calling for that spare you have. How much you asking and where did you find that 6.0 one for that price?

Hell yea those are great prices. I shopped dealer prices just to get an idea of how bad they breaki it off in you. Just a replacment from a dealer is over $400. Junk yards were in the $200 range. Now that I know I can get a replacement from Radiator barn for $200, this helps me set the repair cost.

I have a theory that if something needs to be replaced, always go for the upgrade. With that in mind. Defiantly go for the biger 6.0 radiator.
