What diameter is the stock Y pipe going into the cats? Thanks.

Im 99.9% sure that its an oddball size like 2.75 on my 05 Z71

it is 2.75" from after the y pipe to the tailpipe on my '03 5.3

Just checked my stock Y pipe put away in the garage, It measured 2.5 inches. But its for an 04. probly the same for all the NBS.
