In the 2 times I pulled my motor out there was not enough slack in the chain for the motor to be able to swing into the radiator. Not to mention, you're moving this thing very slow in and out and it is easy to manipulate the way you want.

 

The first time I pulled the engine, I bent quite a fins from the pulley rubbing on the radiator and me hitting it with my foot getting in and out of the engine compartment. Also, the way I had my chain setup, I had to pull the engine really hard forward because it was married to the trans it could have really done some damage to the radiator. Its not bad and now I have them straightened out.
This time I put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator and didn't damage the rad one bit.

 

I pulled my radiator as well, and left all of the brackets laying in there. I also didn't take my hood off, but just undid the hinges, stood the hood straight up, and put the bolts back in. Thunder550 had recommended this in another post and it worked great!

I plan on giving that a shot too, that's one less thing to mess with.
