Default Quick question about cold trans shift...

Hey, I think I already know the answer to my question but I'll ask anyway. My truck is in the sig, and I have about 9500 miles on it now. When I got into my truck this morning (cold start conditions ~45 deg) I let the truck warm up for a worthless 30 seconds and then I drove off. As I drove off I floored the throttle and it seemed like the power sort of fell off for a second and then picked up. After that there was a slight bog/hesitation when it shifted into second gear.

The whole scenario seemed a bit weird, so I tried it again a few hundred yards down the road, same thing. Granted the truck was still really cold (I shouldn't have pushed it when it was cold). Everything went back to normal when the truck warmed up.

So, it seems that under the cold conditions and me being an idiot, I set off the abuse mode... What do you guys think? I'm not really worried about it, just wondering if you guys ever experienced anything like this before.

Jeff

If you look in your owners manual, it states that the truck will hold the lower gears longer to achieve engine warmup. I hope this is of some help.
