Question quick question
will heads from a 6.0l and z06 cam/spring combo do anything for a 5.3l?

the heads will lower your compression.

i know thats good for later when i put turbo's on it, but what about until then?

It will be fine. you will lose a little, from the lower compression. If you found a great deal, pick them up, and just install everything at once.
