Default quick header question

Do I need to clean my coated pacesetters before I start my truck after the initial install? I read somewhere the oil and whatnot will make permanent marks if not cleaned first.

couldn't hurt. just spray some simple green on it, but DON'T let it sit there for more than a few seconds.
