is dual three inch from headers back too big for a cammed 5.3?

the truck has a tr220 cam if that matters.

I would think you would be okay... most people i know do 2.5 duals with an unmodified engine.... my guess is it would help flow better

You will lose some low end tq with exhaust that big.

Dual 2.5 would be better.

Yea thats a big exhaust for that engine. Not ideal. A single 3" would probably net you more power under the curve, and definitely help down low. Thats what I would run with a cut out that you can open after you get out of the hole.
