Questions on second hand long tube headers
I recently bought a set of Long tube headers with a y pipe, non catted, for $150. There are a couple cracks on weld seams that need to be fixed, and other than that they look good. They are stainless, although they seem to have slightly surface rusted in some spots. The guy claimed they were off of a trailblazer ss, and there is no ID marks on them. They are 1 3/4 primaries to 3" collectors and y. I have a few questions on them:
Did I get a good deal? -- I am having some second thoughts on the purchase.
I live in RI and have the sniffer emissions test, will I pass if I weld in 2 spun catalytic converters in place of the current resonators?
I noticed on one side, the primaries are welded to the flange all the way around, on the other side the primaries are only welded in 2 spots on either side of the pipe which I find odd.
Here are some pictures and thank you for any help.

a couple of things:
1. Cats need to be relatively close to the engine - they operate at a specific temperature otherwise they are not effective.
2. If there are any small cracks take them to a competent welder you trust and have them take care of it. You dont want to have a leak later on.
3. Remember there are pre and post cat o2 sensors. If your cat is further back you may need to extend the wires. I strongly suggest getting kiln wire as it will stand the temp and abuse.
Looks good.

mvrk10256, do you think if I put the cats in place of the current resonators in the y pipe pictured they will be close enough and get hot enough? I will get proper extensions if I need them, which just at a glance seems like I will.

I've done some thinking and talked to the tuner I'll be using, and I don't think I will run cats, just going to use the y pipe that came with it. As far as brand goes, I think they are kooks, but I can't be sure. They came off of a tbss, I'm hoping like hell the y pipe will work and clear the 5 speed.
