Default Questions about the STS kit.

Is there a filter for the oil going back to the motor after going through the turbo? If so, how often do you change the filter? Do you need to prime the pump intially? How? I just bought the kit from 8altng on here so I wanna know a lot about it before hand. Any help will be apreciated. What kinda of boost can I run on the 5.3 safely? I do have an excellent tuner so Im not worried about that part. The kit has a fmic so Im sure that will help out tremendously.

First off Congrats!! you will love boost. 5.# Safly. IMHO 8 psi with meth maybe 10 psi.
There is no filter for the return oil. and the pump wount need to be primed. The engine oil pressure will do it for you.

Get the STS directions. Follow them. I used a walbro pump from trt turbo and a set of 42lb injectors from Blownchevy. I used some dynotune square gauges. I have the 60trim turbo. What size is yours? I got my tune locally. Click on my screen name and look at my post for the last 2 months. I have been asking and commenting all about the STS. I bet you love it. Feel free to pm me with any direct questions.

P.S. Your sts related topics will get more play in the forced induction section. Thats why it took me this long to post.

OH YEAH! CONGRATES!!!

Sale the LT headers and put the stock exhaust manifolds back on. You will need to address the tranny also. I would stick with 8 psi. With a good tune you can get 500 rwhp. You may want to consider a different cam also. The 112 lsa will hurt you. Any stock cam will make good #s. Z06 cams work great with turbo motors.
